Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism. Such hate has no place in New York City. It is an affront to our city’s values and the unity that defines who we are. What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are. I want to thank the brave men and women of the NYPD who acted quickly to keep New Yorkers safe. Our officers ran toward danger without hesitation, demonstrating once again the courage and dedication it takes to protect this city every single day. My administration is closely monitoring the situation and I remain in close contact with our Police Commissioner.

Week 11, 2026: Power, Protest, and a K-pop Touchdown in Melbourne

This week on X, the most-replied posts covered a lot of ground, literally and figuratively. The White House posted something that made people laugh, wince, and furiously type in equal measure. New York City's mayor took a firm stand after chaos erupted outside his official residence. And ENHYPEN landed in Australia to a fanbase that apparently does not sleep. Three very different worlds, one shared platform, and a combined reply count that proves X is still the place where the internet goes to have feelings out loud.

The White House Goes Full Gamer Mode (99.5M Views)

The most viral post of the week came from the official White House account, which dropped a video captioned simply "UNDEFEATED." and pulled in nearly 100 million views. The video itself? A darkly creative mashup that cuts between cheerful Nintendo Wii Sports gameplay and real drone strike footage, with Wii celebratory text like "STRIKE" and "HOLE IN ONE" overlaid onto actual explosions. It ends with a card reading "PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP." The replies were predictably chaotic, ranging from genuine applause to genuine horror, with a healthy middle ground of people just typing "bro what." It racked up 23K replies, 199.8K likes, and enough bookmarks to suggest people are saving it for later debates at family dinners.

New York's Mayor Responds to a Protest Gone Wrong (22.5M Views)

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani of New York City posted a lengthy statement after white supremacist Jake Lang organized a rally outside Gracie Mansion that escalated into something far more serious. Someone attempted to use an explosive device, and the NYPD moved in fast. Mamdani condemned the bigotry, praised his officers, and drew a very clear line around what New York City stands for. The post earned 31.1K replies, the highest reply count of the three, and 117.6K likes. The comment section was a full spectrum of reactions: people praising the response, others questioning the mayor's politics from every possible angle, and a few just asking who Jake Lang is. A thorough and sobering thread followed.

ENHYPEN Touches Down in Australia

We've finally made it to Australia! Thank you, ENGENE, for making this dream-come-true moment so special with your love. It was truly a gift for all of us. We'll never forget Melbourne's incredible energy!

K-pop Fandom Does Not Miss a Beat (3.2M Views)

ENHYPEN's official account shared a group photo from Melbourne, marking the K-pop group's arrival in Australia with a heartfelt message to their fanbase, ENGENE. Six members, coordinated black-and-white outfits, thumbs up, and a wall of orange heart emojis later, the post had gathered 33.9K replies, 152.3K likes, and 42.7K retweets. For context, that retweet count is higher than the White House post, which probably says something interesting about the current state of global influence. The ENGENE fandom showed up in force, flooding the replies with fan art, concert recaps, and enough enthusiasm to power a small city. Melbourne, you've been reviewed, and the rating is five stars.
