Does TikTok notify users when you take a screenshot?
No. TikTok does not notify the creator when you screenshot a public video, and PostCapture works entirely from the public post URL — it never touches the creator's account.
What exactly does PostCapture capture from a TikTok?
PostCapture uses the TikTok video's thumbnail inside a styled screenshot and includes available metadata such as the caption, author, and supported stats. It does not extract an arbitrary frame from the middle of the video.
Can I screenshot a private or deleted TikTok?
No. PostCapture only works with public TikTok videos that are still live at the URL you paste. It cannot access private accounts or removed posts.
Is there a watermark?
