Does TikTok notify users when you take a screenshot?
No. TikTok does not notify the creator when you screenshot a public video, and PostCapture works entirely from the public post URL — it never touches the creator's account.
What exactly does PostCapture capture from a TikTok?
PostCapture uses the TikTok video's thumbnail inside a styled screenshot and includes available metadata such as the caption, author, and supported stats. It does not extract an arbitrary frame from the middle of the video.
Can I screenshot a private or deleted TikTok?
